Anna Francese Gass grew upin a small townon the Rhode Island shore before moving to New York City for university and an exciting new life.  After a stint in the corporate world, she decided, in order tobe truly happy, she needed to spend her time in the kitchen instead ofan office.She quit her fast-paced sales job and enrolled in Culinary Arts at the French Culinary Institute in Lower Manhattan to follow her dream of professional cooking.  Soon thereafter, she found her niche in test kitchens, and has worked for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Food52.Now a recipe tester for Food52, Anna tests site recipes and in addition, has worked on all of the Food52 published cookbooks:  Genius, Vegan, Mighty Salads, Ice Cream for Friends. She worked on three seasons of Sarah’s Weeknight Meals on PBS as a food shopper and backstage kitchen assistant.  She also actively works with companies like Hello Fresh and Amore topromote, test and develop recipes for their products.  Aside from her day jobs, Anna created a website www.annasheirloomkitchen.com and has spent the last three years cooking with immigrant grandmothers and mothers to preserve old country recipes for future generations.  Currently, she has cooked with over 40US immigrants and has recipes from 35 countries and counting.  Recently, she has begun turning this epic culinary journey into a cookbook, due out with Harper Collins May 2019.  Follow her on Instagram to see all the delicious ethnic foods she has learned to recreate @annafgass.
