April Uchitel is currently consulting on Brand and Strategy development. Most recently April was the Chief Brand Officer at the digital shopping destination Spring, and has over twenty-five years of experience in the fashion industry. April was an integral member of Spring’s founding team, and from its launch in 2014, April led brand curation, outreach and acquisition, as well asstrategic marketing and engagement efforts, bringing Spring’s total brand partners to more than 1,600. Prior to Spring, April was the EVP of Global Sales and Strategy at DVF, where for over 9 years she ran domestic and international sales, merchandising and strategic planning, and played an essential role in developing DVF into the iconic brand that itis today.
April has long been considered a thought leader in the fashion world, speaking at key industry events including Fast Company’s Innovation Festival, FIT’s Global Conference, Social Media Week, NYU’s Disruption in Luxury Retail Conference, Apple’s WWDC, MasterCard’s Women inWireless Event, Fashion Digital LA, and recently joined the Style Board at Glam4Good. April ispassionate about supporting and developing emerging talent has been a highly coveted mentor in the prestigious CFDA Incubator program for over 5 years. In 2015, The New York Business Journal honored April as part of their inaugural Women of Influence Awards.
