Natalie Hwang is Managing Director and Head of Simon Ventures (formerly Simon Venture Group), where she leads all aspects of investment strategy and fund management. As one of a select group of female executives in the country to lead a venture capital fund, she brings differentiated experience and perspective in scaling early stage companies across a range ofasset classes spanning alternatives to tech-enabled consumer businesses. She had been featured asan industry expert and panelist on the topic of retail innovation, contributing tothought leadership through articles and panel discussions. In recognition for her work, she was named to Global Corporate Venturing’s list of Rising Stars for 2016 and Global Corporate Venturing’s Powerlist of the top 100 heads of corporate venture funds for 2017.

Prior to Simon Ventures, she was an executive at The Blackstone Group where she was involved with the firm's seeding platform for investing in emerging alternative asset management businesses. Prior to her transition to the world of finance and asset management, she was anassociate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies and Economics from Duke University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia Schoolof Law.
